Aung Si Thu
Artist Aung Si Thu is a creative mastermind who was born in 1980 and studied about art under State School of Fine Art in Mandalay from 2001 to 2004 . From the time on , he devoted his life as a full time artist and created art works through various mediums . Among all the other medium , his favorite medium is watercolors and a lot of artworks are created by watercolor medium .Then, he is known as a watercolorist . Artist Aung Si Thu has been participated in many group shows and his first solo exhibition is Paint-Paper-Water & Me in 2018 at OK art gallery . In his first exhibition , he mainly feature the lotus flower series and scenery of upper Myanmar paintings that carried by the theme of artist’s nature homeland. His dramatic landscapes also show his ability to portray light and water. The clouds are also so fresh and full of movements. After seeing his works ,we can recognize that small is beauty .He mentions the beauties of the smalls by his own perspective in artistic composition rather than showing heavy subjects in prominent colours.
