Born in Pyay, Bago Division, in 1959, Artist Wa Tar developed a keen interest in art from a young age. Despite his passion, he lacked the opportunity to attend formal art school. Undeterred, he pursued his artistic dreams through self-study, drawing inspiration from magazine posters, and seeking advice from fellow artists. Wa Tar often learned from conversations with artists such as Aung Ko, who lived in his hometown, and his close mentor, the late Artist Mon Thet. He also gained insights from Artist Shwe Thein during their meetings. To Wa Tar, these exchanges were invaluable lessons in art. He further deepened his understanding by reading books and observing his friends' artworks. As a self-taught artist, Wa Tar has achieved a remarkable milestone: his solo exhibition organized by KALASA Art Space. This exhibition, titled "Images in the Heart," features portraits of renowned artists and celebrates their creativity and contributions to the art world. The exhibition will be held at KALASA Art Space for six days, and everyone is warmly invited to experience this inspiring showcase.
